Youth Centres and Vale Youth Street Team 2011!
Christmas and New Year now feel a long way away. It’s always great to have a break from school, college or work to catch up with family and friends, just put your feet up and chill!
As we wave good bye to 2010, we welcome 2011! YAY! Have you made any new year’s resolutions? I at least plan to make 2011 a good one, full of lots of fun. You can also get involved in so many fun and brilliant things right here in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Here on Swoosh there is an Events List of all the activities and events taking place across the Vale of Glamorgan. Swoosh updates the events as often as possible and works with loads of organisations in the area to find out exactly what is going on. You can also send events in to swoosh too, simply by signing up and uploading them.
There is already a lot to get involved in across the Vale, including the Youth Centres run by the Vale of Glamorgan Youth Service and the V-POD and PULSE run by the Vale Youth Street Team. The Centres have reopened and activities have restarted again after the Christmas period and there are so many activities running. These range from various arts, dance, multimedia and music projects, to Duke of Edinburgh, sports, computers, internet, games consoles etc...
Not only are there lots of activities to get stuck into: there are also workshops where you can find out more about the issues that affect young people; really friendly youth workers to chat to or get support; you can also go on trips or get involved in fundraising.
Swoosh works closely with the Youth Service and the Vale Street Youth Team and always celebrate the good stuff young people are up to! So keep an eye out on swoosh for all the latest events and news!
