Did you know?

A person from the Philippines is called a 'Filipino' spelt with an 'F' not to be confused with a 'Jalapeno' usually found on a pizza!

Where is the Philippines?

The Philippines is in Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean.

I LOVE THE PHILIPPINES!!!

My interest of the Philippines comes from my families’ background and culture. My mother was born and raised in the Philippines until she was 21 years old. I have visited the Philippines twice before, and I will be going on the 12th of April this year. I can't wait!

There are 111 languages spoken in the Philippines, with only 10 of them thought of as being important. Tagalog is the official language of the Philippines. My mother speaks 3 languages, one of them is Tagalog.

The Philippines is a beautiful place with many gorgeous beaches and parks to visit. My favourite place to visit is 'Hundred Islands'. Hundred Islands is a group of 124 islands relatively close to each other that makes roaming around (and in them) a truly exhilarating experience.

When I go to the Philippines I usually spend most of my time in Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines. This is where my mother grew up as a child. Baguio boasts of a year-round cool climate and nature-clad landscape, which is why it is named the 'Summer Capital' of the Philippines.
