The Oscars 2011
The 83rd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Award show (or the Oscars to you and me) were held in Hollywood on Sunday night and were hosted by Anne Hathaway (Love and Other Drugs, Devil Wears Prada) and James Franco (Spiderman). Even though the American ratings for this show were down 10% they still had a high number of viewers; nearly 1 billion worldwide.
The show opened up with a montage of different films put together, but the main story line was about the film - Inception. Hathaway and Franco were going through all the films looking for actor Alec Baldwin, because he had previously hosted the award show. The awards in general were really good and funny and despite the low US ratings, people still praised the two hosts for their presenting skills.

I did catch a bit of the Oscars on TV this week, I actually quite enjoyed it. A friend of mine was even lucky enough to get a seat at the red carpet - who knew they even did that!
