At the Crib Youth Club in Penarth we held a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ to help raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care on 13th July 2011 at Penarth Leisure Centre.

This special tea party included a cake sale and we raised a fantastic £80 for the charity. The money raised from the tea party will allow Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes or one of the charity’s hospices.

Youth Worker Chloe said: “The young people had lots of fun at the tea party - it’s a wonderful way to raise vital funds for such a fantastic charity.”

The Cribs tea party is part of many others that are taking place across the country as part of Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign.

If you would like to hold your own tea party, please call 08700 340 040 or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/teaparty for your free Blooming Great Tea Party fundraising pack.
