CLIConline BOTB

Entries are closed, the bands and musicians are in and the lucky few have been chosen to play the various heats around Wales.

We've been inundated with entries from across Wales, now the time has come for them to start battling it out in the CLIConline / Merthyr Rock Battle Of The Bands 2011 for the chance to play on the Merthyr Rock stage!

Jimi Love from last year's winners The Hostages has this to say about their experience of winning last year:

"We've won a few battle of the bands and I can honestly say the prizes from CLIC's BOTB were the most valuable and useful to us as a band. The three-track single we recorded at the Manic Street Preacher's studio in Cardiff with producer Paul Durrant was one of the best weekends we've had, we also made a few contacts that most bands won't get so easily.

"The video we made for the single was just as professionally produced as the tracks, we couldn't be any happier with the guys at Burning Red studios. The fact that we got to do all that as well as say we played on the pitch of the Millennium Stadium is something we could not have done on our own within a year. Awesome."

CLIC and Merthyr Rock would like want to say a massive THANK YOU to all that entered. It was great to hear so many talented musicians. And don't fret if you didn't make it through, there is always next year.
