What is the Vale Youth Forum?
The Vale Youth Forum is a group of young people from around the Vale of Glamorgan. We will talk about issues that are important to us and discuss problems and how to solve them.

When did the Youth Forum start?
The Vale Youth Forum was officially launched in 1996 but due to lack of funding over the past 7 years, there have been no elected young people, despite the forum continuing its work. This changed on 16th December 2010, when the new Vale Youth Forum elected members had their first meeting.

Who is it for?
The Vale Youth Forum is for all young people throughout the Vale. To get involved with the forum or for more information see our contact details below or look out here on Swoosh.

What is great about the Vale Youth Forum?
We get to know people, make new friends as well as giving us an opportunity to speak about issues that are important to us. We really enjoy it!

When is the official launch of the VYF?
The official launch is 6pm on the 10th March. We will make councillors aware of who we are and what we do. This will take place in the Corporate Suite, Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry. Keith Towler will be there, who is the Children’s Commissioner for Wales.

At the launch we are going to stand up and tell everyone we are here to stay!
