Over the summer Penarth Youth Action joined in the Penarth Summer Festival by dressing up as pirates in the parade along with other organisations in the town. The PYA even then won 2nd prize for fancy dress!

The Penarth Summer Festival is one of best annual community events in the Vale of Glamorgan and has taken place in the Penarth since 1965. Many activities are organised throughout the town during the month of July with Carnival Day being the highlight.

The Festival provided an opportunity for many local clubs and organisations to engage the town and embrace the occasion. There was so much to see and take part in throughout the Festival that included: RAF displays, RNLI displays, the Downhill Derby, Fun Fair Rides, Stage Entertainment, the Clifftop Artists, Fireworks and much more.

Representatives from PYA also used the occasion to promote the work of PYA and hope to recruit new members very soon. If you are interested in joining Penarth Youth Action, 11-17years and live in Penarth please contact us on 02920 701254 or email penarthyouthaction@hotmail.co.uk
