Swoosh - Shaping a positive future

SHAPING A POSITIVE FUTURE 2011

Love and relationships can be tough for us all, even more so when you’re a teenager. Peer pressure can sometimes make you do things you might not want to or behave in a way that can be out of character normally.

Relationships should be filled with love, trust, fun and laughter, making you both feel happy and confident. Your partner should love you for who you are and always treat you with respect.

‘LOVE’ is part of the ‘Shaping a Positive Future’ youth campaign hosted right here on Swoosh until June 2012. The ‘LOVE’ campaign is raising awareness of love, relationships and sexual health until the end of December 2011, including promoting positive, healthy relationships amongst young people, tackling issues of respect, consent, abuse and where to get help and support.

What is LOVE all about? What makes a healthy relationship?

  1. Trust
  2. Respect
  3. Loyalty
  4. Laughter
  5. Friendship
  6. Communication
  7. Understanding
  8. Compromise
  9. Generosity

  10. Be yourself!

You can find a whole list of useful organisations listed below if you ever need information, advice or guidance. You can also check out ‘INFO’ section here on Swoosh with videos, useful links and more.

COMPETITION!

Swoosh www.swoosh.me.uk, is hosting the ‘LOVE’ campaign and needs you to get involved! Upload your creative work and stories right here on Swoosh. It may be a written article, a poem, a piece of artwork or photography - the more creative the better, you can even upload a video or tell us about a video you think is really helpful!

To enter the ‘LOVE’ campaign competitions simply upload your entry to Swoosh. It must be about love, relationships or sexual health and the winner will be selected by a judging panel for the most inspirational upload!

The prize for the Most Inspirational upload is a mysterious goodie bag of £50 worth of vouchers, and some other nice treats, that you can spend and enjoy with a friend, or keep completely to yourself!

The closing date for the ‘LOVE’ Campaign competition is 31st December 2011.
