What is Swoosh?
Swoosh is a local website offering information, news and advice for all young people. This new website is supported by the Welsh Assembly Government and linked to a national website for young people called CLIC.
Who is Swoosh for?
There are roughly 22,000 young people aged between 11-25 living in the Vale of Glamorgan, Swoosh offers advice and information access to all young people in this area of Wales.

Swoosh provides young people with information on a wide range of topics, services, issues and where to get support. There is an online directory of all the organisations in the Vale of Glamorgan who offer activities and services to young people. These include sporting clubs and leisure activities, youth centres and voluntary groups, social and health services and careers and education and many more!
The Swoosh website allows young people and the organisations that work with them to upload articles, pictures, videos, designs and publicise events and activities in the Vale of Glamorgan. Swoosh also works with young people on youth editorial groups to lead the development of the website and upload content.

Is Swoosh safe online for young people?
- YES!
- Articles, events, photographs, videos etc are all screened by the Swoosh Editor before they are uploaded to the Website.
- Only suitable, relevant content is approved to go online.
- There is no personal contact information of young people/members displayed on Swoosh only their chosen username
- If young people are offended or worried about something on Swoosh they can report it to us. Staff will frequently monitor the website during the day and we have in place a strict moderation process.
- There is a 'Safety Information' page on Swoosh with detailed information of the website�s safety and further information on online safety.
