Wow I feel like I have been watching this series for years they like to drag it out don't they! Watching all the little songsters turning into fantastic show biz performers. Some argue the talent this year has not been as good as previous years, which had brought us jaw dropping singers like Leona and pop divas like Alexandra. That's not to say this year hasn't been action packed... Remember Jedward? How could we forget! Identical twins, twitchy dancing knees, super strong hair gel and beaming with fun. If anything Jedward entertained us, more than I can say for some of the other contestants. Then shock departure of Lucy, poor poor Lucy losing out to Jedward. But that's the nature of the show, nobody is safe. Even rumours of bullying in the X Factor house and diva strops leaving Danyl short of the much awaited final. So it says a lot for being friendly and approachable as we saw Joe, Olly, and Stacey race through. They had won over our hearts with their sweetness, genuine demeanour and of course their singing too.

Split over two days the final was tense... who would make it through to the final final(sunday)? Joe, Olly and Stacey? Oooooooh. On Saturday night each act was lucky enough to perform with top pop acts. The likes of Michael Buble, Robbie Williams and George Michael. Michael Buble was clearly taken by Stacey's enduring qualities, Robbie and Olly looked like twins (watch out Jedward!) and bless little Joe... he was in owe of his idol George Michael. It was a fantastic night of musical entertainment, with plenty of variety to please all, even your granny! Sadly Stacey Solomon was the one to go, she took it well, held her head high and was very proud to made it so far. She certainly made me laugh throughout the series!

Did you guess it right? Joe and Olly, I would like to have said I did. Ha. mine was on Lucy, shows what I know. Nevertheless it was a good mix Joe - young, sweet and the voice of an angel, Olly - fun, funky, an entertainment king. My dough was on Joe.

The Sunday night final was packed with stars... an amazing performance from JLS and Alexandra, Leona, good old Susan Boyle and Sir Paul McCartney. We were treated to each act singing their hearts out to the new winners song - 'The Climb' from Miley Cyrus' 'Hannah Montana' movie. Cheesy? yes! well it has to be. All X Factor winners songs have to be a bit cheesy and sentimental. Anyway, many have said the song was chosen especially for Joe. Controversy! Did Olly ever stand a chance? You would hope so.

I must say it was a long show, it must have been even longer for the acts. Finally, the results... in the words of Dermot O'Leary "And the winner is....." (longest pause ever) "JOE!!!" Jordie Joe has snapped the prize X Factor Winner 2009 and not forgetting 1 million pounds!!!

Do we have a star in the making? The X Factor has a reputation of great successes and flops. Let's hope young Joe is one of the success stories and makes it all the way to the top.
