Circus Berzercus with only 2 workers
The Gibbonsdown and Court Youth Forum are working hard to organise a fantastic Christmas show for their community. The youth of the community have decided to take the arts into their own hands, whilst working with Gibbonsdown and Court Communities First, The Night Out Scheme from the Arts Council of Wales and the Young Promoters Scheme.
We are presenting a two man circus show called a ‘Komedy of Errors’ by a company called ‘Circus Berzercus’ at the YMCA (HUB) on Court Road, Barry on 16th December. The show starts at 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm).
To make the show a success they have already designed the poster and decided ticket prices as well as having met with a Marketing Officer from the Wales Millennium Centre, worked on marketing the show, decided the time and have decided on what will happen on the night. They are planning to make speeches, run a raffle and liaise with the professional artists, as well as organising a competition in local schools.
One of the Young Promoters, Charlotte Webber said, “I’m looking forward to presenting this show because it will be a challenging experience and I’d like to give my community a cracking night out”.
A Komedy of Errors, presented by Circus Berzercus will be performed at the YMCA (HUB) on Wednesday 16th December at 7pm. Tickets will be available from the Communities First Office, Aberaeron Close (off Skomer Road), Gibbonsdown Barry.
