Algebra…Bullies…Dragons…7th Grade is Tough!

Poor Arthur is pushed around by the school bully for being a 'nerd'. What 12 year old Arthur doesn’t know is that he holds the secret to defeat an evil dragon. He thought it was just a simple card game, but in this card game lays the end of the world.

The evil vice principal (Malick) is at the heart of all this destruction. A magical troll (Bart) rescues Arthur in hope that he will save all of civilization. Arthur’s dad is fighting for custody of Arthur.

So with that and trying to cope with what seems to be just Arthurs imagination, Arthur’s mum (Laura) has a lot going on! Mum eventually realises the danger of this all too real situation and joins the fight to save civilization too. Using just a bag of potions and his two closest friends (Ryan and Abigail), Bart and his mum, can Arthur save the world from dragons and evil principals?

The romance between Laura and Shane gives this film an edge that will make adults entertained to, so it is a real family film. A film that children will find funny and scary at parts. A film that parents can watch with their children and a film that is good fun from start to finish.

Although the graphics were poor, acting a little messy, overall it was a good film. It kept me interested from the start with its catchy intro song. The film had a lot of funny moments which kept it engaging and watchable. Im guessing it was quite a low budget film, but I think they did a good job with it. The theme of the whole film being a game was very good, it is relevant to the target market of children and families as well. I would recommend this film to people, although it is more of a younger person's or children's film.
